Rep. John McGuire hosts U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance, and local business leaders for tax roundtable
February 13, 2026 Press Release LYNCHBURG, VA — On Thursday, January 29, 2026, Representative John McGuire (VA-05) joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance, and local business leaders for a roundtable to discuss the Working Families Tax Cut. The discussion centered around long-term tax relief for businesses and allowed leaders to make their voice heard on current and future legislation. Attendees applauded the Working Families Tax Cut saying it will allow for expansions of their businesses and work force. “The Working Families Tax Cut benefits businesses and families by making many of the key tax provisions in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) permanent as well as preventing the largest tax increase in history to the middle class,” said Rep. John McGuire (VA-05) . “The Working Families Tax Cut is pro-growth, pro-business legislation that adds jet fuel to our economy.
