All tickets provided to constituents are free of cost and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the high volume of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. For more information on sightseeing and attractions, please visit the Washington, DC Tourism Information page. Touring the Capitol In order to tour the United States Capitol, advance reservations are required. Individuals, families, and small groups (of 15 and fewer people) can create an account and reserve a tour date here . Reservations are available 90 days in advance. Constituents of Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District may request staff led tours through the form below. Touring the White House As a congressional office, we are happy to facilitate your request, however, it is ultimately up to the White House which parties receive a tour. White House tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday. Tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is determined by the White House. Tours must be requested a month in advance and cannot be requested more than three months in advance. Requests submitted greater than three months in advance will be responded to when tour submission becomes possible. Upon your request, you will receive an email from the White House asking you to submit additional personal information such as name, birth date, place of birth, and social security number for security purposes. The White House also requires tour participants to have valid, federal photo identification in hand prior to taking a tour. Beginning May 2025, the White House requires either a REAL ID or passport for all U.S. Citizens entering the White House. For more information about the REAL ID Act, please visit the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s website, here . The White House does not guarantee tour acceptance and reserves the right to cancel or modify approved tours at any time. Touring the Library of Congress The Library of Congress is free and open to the public. You are able to participate in a guided tour, gallery talk, or take a self-guided tour of the building and the exhibitions. Public tours of the Thomas Jefferson Building are available on a first-come, first-served basis with a timed-entrance pass available here . Individuals and families with 10 members or less may join a public tour. Tours are offered on the half-hour from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a limited schedule on Saturdays. Inquire at the Jefferson Building, Ground Floor Information Desk for availability at least 30 minutes prior to your tour time. On days with especially high visitation, the Library may offer a "build your own tour" experience with docents located throughout the building instead of a guided walking tour.
