Sykes Presents a $450,000 Ceremonial Checks for Guise Park Lodge Renovation MUNROE FALLS, OHIO — Yesterday, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) presented a $450,000 ceremonial check to the City of Munroe Falls for upgrades at the Guise Park Lodge. “This funding is about making sure everyone, regardless of age or ability, can experience the beauty of Guise Park. These improvements will strengthen local tourism, support our community, and create a more inclusive outdoor space for residents and visitors alike,” said Rep. Sykes. “I will continue to work to secure federal funding to support projects like this that directly benefit residents of Ohio’s 13th Congressional District.” “I would like to express my appreciation for the grant provided by Emilia Sykes’ Office for funding extended renovations to the Guise Park Lodge,” said Mayor Mavrides. “Thank you for seeing the potential in the project and all of the benefits it will bring to the residents of the City of Munroe Falls.” This federally funded project would support renovations to Guise Park Lodge and its surrounding grounds. Built in 1957, the lodge is in need of a new roof and accessibility improvements, including ADA-compliant restrooms, an accessible kitchen area, additional accessible walkways, and an ADA-accessible parking space. The project will also include a small accessible outdoor patio and pavilion for visitors. The renovations will provide 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access to ADA-compliant restrooms, while revitalizing the lodge and improving accessibility for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. The $450,000 for the Guise Park Lodge Renovation Project is one of 15 Community Project Funding awards totaling more than $12 million that Rep.
