Rep. Jimmy Gomez Votes to Pass Crucial Support for Ukraine

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) released the following statement after helping pass the Ukraine Support Act: “I voted for this legislation to continue America’s support for the Ukrainian people as they defend their homes, their families, and their right to live free from Russia’s invasion. “For years, Ukrainians have shown extraordinary resilience in the face of violence, displacement, and loss while continuing to fight for their country and their future. Abandoning them now would reward Vladimir Putin’s aggression and send a dangerous signal to authoritarian leaders around the world. “The United States is stronger when we stand with our allies and support people fighting for freedom, security, and self-determination.”
