Moskowitz Statement on Hostage Deal between Israel and Hamas
<p><strong>WASHINGTON, DC</strong> — Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Florida) released the following statement in response to the announcement of a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas:</p>
<p>“The news of a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas is greatly encouraging. This deal would have been achieved months ago but for Hamas stalling negotiations. Only because of military realities on the ground has Hamas finally agreed to this ceasefire. I want to thank both President Biden and President-elect Trump for helping make it a bipartisan issue to get these hostages returned to their homes. It has been 466 days since October 7th, and the pain is still fresh for Israelis and Jewish people worldwide. I am thankful that families will be reunited and am committed that the US-Israel relationship must remain ironclad. We must continue working to secure the release of more hostages until every one is returned home.”</p>
