Moskowitz Statement on Hostage Deal between Israel and Hamas

<p><strong>WASHINGTON, DC</strong>&nbsp;— Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Florida) released the following statement&nbsp;in response to&nbsp;the announcement of a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas:</p>

<p>“The news of a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas is greatly encouraging. This deal would have been achieved months ago but for Hamas stalling negotiations. Only because of military&nbsp;realities&nbsp;on the ground has Hamas finally agreed to this&nbsp;ceasefire. I want to thank&nbsp;both President Biden and President-elect Trump for helping make it&nbsp;a bipartisan issue to get these hostages returned to their homes. It has been 466 days since October 7^th,&nbsp;and the pain is still fresh for Israelis and Jewish people worldwide. I am thankful that families will be reunited and&nbsp;am committed&nbsp;that the US-Israel relationship&nbsp;must remain&nbsp;ironclad. We must continue working to secure the release of more hostages until every one is returned home.”</p>
