Correa Again Votes to Limit Military Operations in IRAN
WASHINGTON — Today, U.S. Representative Lou Correa (CA-46) released the following statement after voting YES this afternoon on H.Con.Res 75 to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against Iran: “ After two months of this Administration’s war in Iran, there is still no end in sight. Americans are dearly paying for it, with their taxpayer dollars and every time they fill up at the gas pump, but the highest cost has come in the form of the service men and women we have lost as a result of the military efforts in Iran. “ Current law requires Congress to declare war or authorize force within 60 days of military action, and that deadline has passed. Congress needs to reassert our authority to declare war, with the Administration making its case why U.S. forces should continue. With the high cost of this war, the American people deserve that justification .” ### Print Email Share Tweet
