Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Van Drew issued the following statement in response to the arson attack at the residence of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro in Harrisburg, PA. "I am incredibly relieved to hear that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe following the horrific arson attack at the Governor's Residence. Political violence, hatred, and targeted attacks have absolutely no place in America—ever. That this took place on the first night of Passover, targeting a Jewish family, is especially vile and deeply troubling. Thank you to the Pennsylvania State Police, the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire, and the Capitol Police for their swift response in preventing an even greater tragedy."
