January 8, 2025 Press Release Funds Will Help Meet 21st Century Transportation Needs in Disadvantaged Communities NORTH LAS VEGAS – Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) today announced $3.2 million in Department of Transportation grant funding to install 185 electric vehicle charging ports at seven sites across Las Vegas. Initially established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law , the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program facilitates zero- and low-emission transportation infrastructure across the country. “The funding I’m announcing today is yet another example of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law delivering for Nevadans and helping to ensure a clean energy future for all Americans,” Rep. The project includes a citywide outreach and educational campaign about electric vehicle access, charging locations, and available resources. “Electric vehicle charging stations are critical infrastructure to every community – they should never be locked behind a zip code,” Rep.
