Donalds Joins House Oversight Committee: Addresses Rampant Somali Fraud in Minnesota Social Services Programs
WASHINGTON – Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) joined the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform for a hearing entitled, “ Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota: Part I ." State and federal officials that sounded the alarm-on and investigated Somali fraud in Minnesota’s social services programs were invited to testify under oath before the assembled committee membership. Witnesses included The Honorable Kristin Robbins, Minnesota House of Representatives; The Honorable Walter Hudson, Minnesota House of Representatives; The Honorable Marion Rarick, Minnesota House of Representatives; and Brendan Ballou, former special counsel at the Department of Justice. This was the first hearing into rampant Somali fraud in Minnesota.
