Griffith Announces $380,100 DOT Grant to Develop Tazewell County Airport

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded the Tazewell County Airport Authority, based in Richlands, Virginia, a $380,100 grant. The funding supports the construction of a new 6,800 square foot hangar at the Tazewell County Airport. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “Federal support of the Tazewell County Airport is welcomed by the area. “This DOT grant for $380,100 helps the Tazewell County Airport Authority complete a project that will expand aircraft storage capacity at Tazewell County Airport.” BACKGROUND These funds were made available from the FAA FY25 Airport Infrastructure Grant program. ###
