Rosen Helps Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Fund Brand USA, Boost Tourism Industry

WASHINGTON, DC –U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) helped introduce the bipartisanVital Investment in Sustaining International Tourism to the USA(VISIT USA) Actto fully restore Brand USA’s funding. Brand USA is a public-private partnership that promotes the U.S. as a premier international travel destination. Communities in Nevada and across the country benefit from Brand USA’s work to enhance and promote our nation’s image abroad. The program has already helped bring in billions of dollars in visitor spending and supported tens of thousands of American jobs. This bipartisan legislation will fully fund Brand USA to promote the United States as an international travel destination ahead of several significant events hosted in the U.S., including the 250th anniversary of America’s independence, the FIFA World Cup, and the 2028 Olympic games.
“Nevada is a world-class destination with so much to offer, from entertainment and sports to our public lands and dark skies,”said Senator Rosen.“Our economy relies heavily on international tourism, which is why I’m proud to help introduce this bipartisan legislation to fully restore funding for Brand USA and show the world all of the wonderful things we have to offer. At a time when international visitation numbers are down, we need to do everything we can to encourage more tourists to come and see the many wonders our country has to offer. ”
Senator Rosen continues to be a champion for Nevada’s travel and tourism industry. This year, she’s pushed back on President Trump’s reckless tariffs on Canada, which are affecting the Nevada tourism industry. Earlier this year, Senator Rosen alsosent a letterurging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to suspend implementation of the proposed Visa Bond Pilot Program, which will impose a substantial fee on international visitors seeking to obtain a business visitor or tourist visa to the United States. Additionally, Senator Rosen passed her bipartisanOmnibus Travel and Tourism Actinto law, which helped strengthen the U.S. travel and tourism industry.
