All News As Hurricane Isaias Approaches Florida’s Coast, Senator Moody Reminds Floridians in the Path to Execute Safety Plans Oct 8, 2026 TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— Senator Ashley Moody is urging Floridians in the path of Hurricane Isaias to execute safety plans and be prepared to weather the storm. Isaias is projected to make landfall near the Pensacola region late Friday night, bringing heavy winds, storm surge and rainfall to areas along the Gulf Coast and inland. Senator Moody is issuing safety tips to help Floridians in advance of the storm strike. “The window to finish preparations for Isaias is rapidly closing. I’m urging Floridians in the path of the storm to execute their storm prep plans and fortify their homes—and if local officials issue evacuation orders, please follow their directions. Together, we will weather the storm,” said Senator Ashley Moody . BACKGROUND: Before the storm: Know evacuation routes and shelter locations; Stock up on enough food, water and emergency supplies for the entire household for at least seven days; Gather important documents, such as insurance, medical and banking records; Monitor weather reports; and Follow local officials’ directions.
