PUEBLO, CO -
Representative Tisha Mauro, D-Pueblo, today released the following statement on the Pueblo City Council voting down an
ordinance
that would have outlawed abortions in Pueblo:
“Women in Pueblo deserve access to reproductive health care and the freedom to make their own choices. Last night, our city council defeated a dangerous ordinance that would have banned abortion in Pueblo and put women’s health at risk. I am committed to doing everything I can at the state capitol to protect Coloradans’ freedoms and the right to choose from extreme politicians who would take us backwards.”
