LaMonica McIver (NJ-10) walked out on Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress to protest the president’s attacks on communities across the country, and his betrayal of the American people on jobs, costs, the economy, national security and more. “Donald Trump doesn’t need a special night to lie to the American public when he does it all day, every day,” said Rep. McIver. “In just half an hour, he spewed ignorance on everything from diversity, immigration and trans kids to DOGE cuts and the cost of eggs. I heard enough, so I left. His words do nothing to help the people in my district—there’s real work to be done.” Print Email Share Previous Article Next Article About Contact Media Issues Services
