Blumenthal Statement on President Trump's Joint Address to Congress

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement in response to President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress:
“Touting false feats, fanning fears, and taunting Democrats, President Trump tonight gave a decidedly unpresidential harangue. Republicans in the audience treated the speech as a campaign rally—embarrassing in that historic chamber. President Trump spun a fictional world, pandering to prejudice and grievance, untethered to reality. He brought out the worst in my Congressional colleagues and the country.”
