Webster Bill to Increase Rural Broadband Access Signed into Law

Washington, D.C. — On Saturday, the Eliminating Barriers to Rural Internet Development Grant Eligibility (E-BRIDGE) Act , legislation co-introduced by Congressman Daniel Webster, was signed into law. This legislation was part of the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act of 2024 . “We know broadband impacts the ability of distressed communities to attract jobs and businesses across a host of other industries, including healthcare and energy sectors, said Rep. Webster . “I’m thrilled that this commonsense bill is now law, removing unnecessary hurdles and helping more Americans get connected.
