Cammack Cosponsors Resolution Honoring America’s Veterans on Veterans Day 2025

The resolution commemorates the generations of men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, calling on all Americans to observe Veterans Day in recognition of their courage, sacrifice, and continued contributions to our nation. This resolution is a reminder that freedom endures because of their courage.” Background On November 11, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the first commemoration of Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I. On June 4, 1926, Congress passed a concurrent resolution officially recognizing the annual observance. On June 28, 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Holiday Bill, establishing Veterans Day as a federal holiday to honor all American servicemembers.
