Sen. Rick Scott Details How to Rescue the American Dream at TaxWatch’s Fiscal Accountability Leadership Summit October 22, 2026 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Today, U.S. Senator Rick Scott outlined his Rescuing America project to restore the American Dream and combat the rise of socialism to Florida economic and government leaders at Florida TaxWatch's Fiscal Accountability Leadership Summit. Rescuing America lays out a platform to revive the American Dream based on three simple principles: Balancing the budget Cutting regulations Creating private sector jobs Senator Scott has publicly called for Congress to balance the budget, cut regulations, and create private sector jobs to lower the cost of living, namely the cost of housing and healthcare , and to address the $40 trillion national debt . Senator Rick Scott said, “A growing movement of political discontent is building in this country. American families are struggling after years of reckless spending and massive government expansion during the Biden administration that’s caused unbelievable inflation. It is shocking to see more young people turn to the failed socialist ideas pushed by Mamdani, but we can’t save the American Dream and defeat socialism unless we chart a new path forward. If we commit to holding Washington accountable, stopping the reckless spending, and dramatically reducing the size of government, we can fix things for Americans today and our future generations. Rescuing the American Dream isn't just an economic argument. It is a fight for this country. The time to act is now. Our kids and grandkids’ futures depend on it.” To watch Senator Scott’s full speech, click HERE or on the image above.
