Colorado Representatives Jeff Hurd and Joe Neguse Issue Statement on Vote to Approve Shoshone Water Rights Acquisition

November 20, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON — Colorado’s Western Slope lawmakers, Representatives Jeff Hurd (CO-03) and Joe Neguse (CO-02), issued the following statement on the Colorado Water Conservation Board’s vote to approve the Shoshone Water Rights Acquisition: “As representatives for Western Colorado, we stand alongside our rural communities in commending the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) for approving the acquisition of an interest in the Shoshone Water Rights for instream flow use. This is an important step towards supporting the health of the Colorado River and the communities that depend on it, and an effort that we both have long supported. We remain committed to ensuring that the $40 million secured is fully delivered to complete this project.” ### Issues : Water
