Dr. Joyce Welcomes Johnstown Little League Softball World Series Champions to the White House
July 20, 2026 Press Release President Trump Recognizes Team in the Oval Office WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman John Joyce, M.D., welcomed the 2025 Little League Softball World Series champions from Johnstown to the White House, where he had the honor of introducing the team to President Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office. As the team entered the Oval Office, Congressman Joyce introduced the champions to the President, saying, "Mr. President, may I present the World Series Softball Championship Team from Johnstown, Pennsylvania?" President Trump responded, "Thank you, John. Bring them in!" "Last year, these talented young ladies from Johnstown made history by bringing home the Commonwealth’s first Little League Softball World Series championship since 1978," said Congressman Joyce . "Today, they reunited in the Oval Office, where President Trump recognized and honored them for their outstanding achievement. "It was a privilege to celebrate this special moment with them. Their team chemistry, hard work, and mental toughness earned them not only a championship title, but memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I look forward to watching this talented group continue to excel on and off the field, and I wish each of them success in every goal they set for themselves." After a whirlwind day traveling from Cambria County with their coaches, a visit with Congressman Joyce, and a tour of the U.S. Capitol, the team arrived at the White House and waited briefly in the Roosevelt Room. After meeting the President and talking about their championship season, each team member and coach was presented with a Presidential Challenge Coin. The President signed a game ball from the winning game over Indiana, and the team presented the President with a team jersey.
