Crapo Statement on Advancing Kevin Warsh to Lead the Federal Reserve

Washington, D.C .—U.S. Senator for Idaho Mike Crapo, senior member of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, today voted to advance the nomination of Kevin Warsh to serve as a Member and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and issued the following statement: “Kevin Warsh’s deep knowledge of monetary policy and experience as a Federal Reserve Governor makes him well-suited to lead,” said Crapo . “He has consistently emphasized the importance of maintaining the independence of the Federal Reserve, ensuring policy decisions are guided by data and long-term economic health rather than short-term political pressures.
