Moulton Statement on Trump January 6th Pardons

January 21, 2025 Press Release Congressman Seth Moulton issued the following statement in reaction to President Trump's decision to pardon over 1,500 January 6th perpetrators: “The Founding Fathers warned us against leaders like Donald Trump, and they were right. Trump’s decision to pardon 1,500 January 6th criminals—among them white supremacists and violent militia leaders—will go down in history as one of the most anti-democratic and un-American political ploys by any American president. No one is above the law—it’s that simple—but especially those who assault police officers. Attempting to stop a democratic transfer of power by force goes against the very Constitution that Trump just took an oath to protect and defend. The President boasted about rooting out the “weaponization” of our Justice System in his inauguration speech, but he is the worst offender.” Issues : Strengthening our National Security
