China’s Cyber War

The new frontier of warfare is in cyberspace – and we cannot allow our strength to falter. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is working behind the scenes to hack into our systems, steal sensitive information, and target America’s critical infrastructure. This is a threat we must address NOW. As a former counterintelligence officer who operated against China, I was privileged to be named to the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party earlier this year. Today during our first hearing, we questioned witnesses as we develop a plan to counteract China’s hackers and defend against attempts to infiltrate our nation’s critical infrastructure. Look, protecting our country isn’t just about securing our border or deploying troops and money abroad. That’s why I’m pushing for tougher consequences on China’s cyber warfare and stronger defenses to keep American data safe. Bottom Line: I’ll do everything I can to protect our cyberinfrastructure and our national security from China. We must act now before it’s too late.
