Tuberville, Cassidy Recognize September 2026 as National Literacy Month

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) joined U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) in cosponsoring a bipartisan resolution recognizing September 2026 as National Literacy Month. As Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Subcommittee on Education and the American Family, Sen. Tuberville is committed to doing whatever he can to boost child literacy and improve educational outcomes. Sen. Tuberville cosponsored this resolution in 2025 and 2024 . “Our youth are the future of this country,” said Sen. Tuberville. “We spend more money on education than any other country and yet have too many students who are slipping through the cracks.
