Small businesses in Nevada make up 99 percent of all businesses across the state, and have been directly impacted by the Trump Administration’s erratic economic policies. “Nevada is home to so many incredible small businesses like Gritz Cafe, many of which are struggling because of Trump’s tariffs and his economic policies that are making costs go up. As a result, Nevadans have less disposable income to eat out and tourists are skipping trips to Las Vegas,” said Senator Rosen. “During National Small Business Week, I reaffirm my commitment to continue fighting back against the administration’s reckless policies, which have only hurt Nevada’s small businesses and consumers.” “Small business owners and their families have been hit hard by rising costs of business and the lack of certainty is making it hard to plan ahead,” said Kema Ogden, Secretary of the Las Vegas Urban Chamber of Commerce. “It was great to meet with Senator Rosen in the Historic Westside today to hear directly from her and small business owners about what can be done to protect Nevada’s entrepreneurs.” Senator Rosen has been a champion for small businesses in Nevada. This year, she has introduced legislation to exempt small businesses and groceries from tariffs, as well as supporting Nevada’s tourism economy.
