04.23.2026 | News Jayapal Introduces War Powers Resolution WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Chair Emerita of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), introduced a War Powers Resolution today to end Trump’s illegal war with Iran. “Congress alone has the power to declare war — it’s that simple,” said Jayapal . “Trump has recklessly and thoughtlessly thrown us into another forever war that is threatening US servicemembers’ lives, civilians’ lives in Iran and Lebanon, and is costing billions of taxpayer dollars every single day.
