Senator Kim Statement Condemning Trump’s Executive Order Targeting Transgender Troops

WASHINGTON D.C. –Today,Senator Andy Kimreleased the following statement against President Trump’s Executive Order aiming to bar transgender people from military service:
“Anyone willing to risk their lives to defend our nation and serve with effectiveness and integrity should be honored and thanked, not disrespected and removed. President Trump’s Executive Order is an insult to the bravery and service of transgender servicemembers. How can we have a military that protects all Americans if it doesn’t recognize and respect all Americans? The constant effort to ridicule and intimidate is well beneath what the most senior leaders of our nation should do. Instead, we should stand by our trans community and all our servicemembers who selflessly commit their lives to our defense and freedoms.”
