Congressman Van Drew Urges Action on Delayed Atlantic County Veterans Clinic Relocation
Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Van Drew sent a letter to the Veterans Affairs Wilmington Health Care District voicing his concerns about the ongoing delays in the relocation of the Atlantic County Veterans Clinic. "Veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and it is time we repay that by ensuring they have access to the healthcare they need, without having to travel long distances or wait unnecessarily," said Congressman Van Drew. "The clinic will offer expanded services and make care more accessible to veterans in South Jersey, and we cannot afford to keep pushing this back. The Veterans Affairs Wilmington Health Care District must take action to speed up the process. I have asked to be kept informed on the progress of the construction. If any issues come up that could cause further delays, I want to know about them immediately. I am committed to working with everyone involved to make sure our veterans finally get the care they deserve, right here in South Jersey." Click here to view the letter.
