January 16, 2026 Rep. Sykes Launches Valentines for Vets Program Rep. Sykes invites students to create valentines for local veterans AKRON, OH — Today, U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) announced the launch of the Valentines for Vets Program. All K-12 students in Ohio’s 13th Congressional District are encouraged to create valentine cards for local veterans. “Veterans have bravely served our nation, and it is through our actions that we can truly honor their service and sacrifices. This Valentine’s Day, share some love with our veteran neighbors by participating in Valentines for Vets," said Rep. Sykes. Those who wish to participate should create valentine cards for local veterans, and drop them off at, or mail them to, Rep. Sykes’ Akron Office, 121 S. Main St., Suite 107, Akron, Ohio 44308 by February 11, 2026. The cards will then be distributed to local veterans service organizations, where they will be shared with veterans.
