Sorensen's Statement on Being Sworn in for Second Term
Image January 3, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Eric Sorensen released the following statement upon being sworn in for his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. "Serving the families of Central and Northwestern Illinois remains the honor of a lifetime. For 20 years as a meteorologist, I worked to keep our communities safe and prepared—and now, after completing my first term in Congress, I’m proud to continue that work as your representative. My focus remains on delivering real progress that strengthens our region for the long haul. That means creating good-paying jobs that stay here, securing investments for clean drinking water and safer neighborhoods, and providing much-needed relief for our farm communities. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work with anyone to tackle the challenges ahead. Together, we’ll keep building a brighter, more sustainable future for Illinois’ 17th District."
