Judiciary Committee Advances Judicial Nominations for Third Circuit and Alabama District Courts, Along with Eastern Louisiana U.S. Attorney Nominee

– The Senate Judiciary Committee today advanced the following nominations:
Jennifer Lee Mascott
, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Third Circuit, by a vote of 12-10;
Edmund G. LaCour, Jr.
, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 12-10;
Bill Lewis
, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama, by a vote of 14-8;
Harold D. Mooty III
, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, by a vote of 18-4; and
David Courcelle
, to be United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, by a vote of 14-8.
