Larsen Condemns Trump’s Corrupt Settlement

Today, U.S. Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement: “The President’s efforts to cover up his illegal business practices and make himself immune from future IRS audits will fail. No one is above the law. The President will pay the taxes he legally owes.” This week, the President announced a settlement with the Department of Justice to end an investigation into his tax returns. The terms of the settlement will remove up to $100 million in potential IRS penalties against the President and will bar the IRS from future investigations into the President, his family members and his businesses.
