Rep. Stefanik, Members of NY Delegation, & NY Assemblymembers Condemn Dangers of Kathy Hochul's Natural Gas Ban & All-Electric Mandate
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday afternoon, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23), Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17), New York Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay, and members of the New York State Assembly held a press conference condemning Kathy Hochul's burdensome natural gas ban that will jeopardize New Yorkers’ lives during the winter and cause their energy bills to skyrocket. "As a hardworking Upstate mom and Congresswoman I understand deeply that under Kathy Hochul's rule New York is in fact the most unaffordable state in the nation, with the highest taxes, highest grocery prices, highest utility bills, highest rent, and highest energy prices," Stefanik said. She continued, saying, "We need a full repeal of this insane [natural gas] ban. And since Kathy Hochul is incapable of showing leadership and continues pushing New York off the unaffordability cliff . . . [Congress] will pass Congressman Langworthy's Energy Choice Act . . . to prevent Kathy Hochul's radical [natural gas] ban." "Republicans, Democrats, and Independents must join arms to fire the Worst Governor in America, Kathy Hochul, and Save New York," Stefanik concluded. Watch the full press conference HERE .
