Minority Leader Chris Holbert’s Statement on Governor Polis’ Budget Request

DENVER — Colorado Senate Minority Leader Chris Holbert (R-Douglas County) released the following statement following today’s release of Governor Jared Polis’ budget requests:
“While Governor Polis continues to add requirements to what he calls ‘free’ full-day kindergarten, coercing districts to spend additional revenue on this expensive new program, Senate Republicans continue to call for an even larger sum of money to be directed to our school districts without those strings attached. We’ve owed them this money for ten years, and it’s past time to pay off that debt.
