U.S. Representative Morgan Griffith

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded the Mount Rogers Community Services Board, based in Wytheville, Virginia, a $161,508 grant. The funding supports local mental health services. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “Mount Rogers Community Services leads a mental health awareness training program. “This HHS grant for more than $161,000 helps Mount Rogers Community Services strengthen local community access to mental health services.” BACKGROUND According to its website , the Mount Rogers Community Services Board serves the City of Galax well as Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth and Wythe Counties. In July 2026, Congressman Griffith announced a $1 million HHS grant to the Board. Mount Rogers Community Services operates multiple centers in the region. As a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Congressman Griffith serves as the Chairman of the Health Subcommittee. ###
