Luttrell Introduces Bill to Strengthen Penalties for Illegal Aliens Who Breach a Military Base

March 6, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON -- Congressman Morgan Luttrell (R-TX) re-introduced the Protecting Military Assets Act in the House of Representatives. The Protecting Military Assets Act cracks down on illegal aliens who attempt to enter U.S. military bases—making them inadmissible and immediately deportable. “This isn’t just a security lapse; it’s a national security threat. The previous administration turned a blind eye to our border security, putting everyone and everywhere at risk,” said Congressman Luttrell. “This legislation will send a clear message: threats to our Armed Forces will not be tolerated.” This legislation originally followed the Marine Corps base breach in Virginia, in which two individuals posed as Amazon delivery drivers and attempted to break onto the base. Following an additional investigation, both individuals were found to be in the country illegally, with one reportedly being on the terrorist watch list. More recently in December, seven Chinese nationals were apprehended for attempting to illegally enter Guam during a period when the U.S. Missile Defense Agency was conducting a significant missile interception test at Andersen Air Force Base. At least four of these individuals were captured near a military installation, raising concerns about potential espionage activities. Issues : Congress National Security
