Spartz to Host Second X Spaces Live Policy Discussion on FISA

April 14, 2026 Press Release Washington, DC – Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (IN-05) will host the second in her series of live policy discussions on X Spaces this Thursday, April 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The discussion, “FISA Reauthorization: How Much Surveillance Is Too Much?”, featuring special guests former Congressman Matt Gaetz and Center for Democracy and Technology FISA policy expert Jake Laperruque , will explore key issues surrounding Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Section 702 of FISA was enacted in 2008 in response to 9/11 and allows targeting of non-U.S. persons located outside the United States to acquire foreign intelligence information.
