Senator Kim Urges Supreme Court Support New Jersey’s Investigative Authorities to Defend Reproductive Rights
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today,Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ)released the following statement urging the Supreme Court defend states’ investigative authorities after they conducted oral arguments forFirst Choice Women’s Resource Centers, Inc. v. Platkin:
“Reproductive rights must continue to be protected in New Jersey. Our state, like others, needs to be able to investigate actors accused of trying to deceive, defraud, and prevent people from accessing the care they need. This Supreme Court has failed to defend the right to choose but must not infringe on our state’s ability to protect New Jerseyans.”
