Figures Statement on Department of Transportation Distributing Grant Funding for I-10 Bayway Bridge Project

May 6, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Shomari C. Figures (AL-02), issued the following statement after the Department of Transportation announced it would disperse the grant funding for the I-10 Mobile River Bridge Replacement and Bayway Multimodal Project in Mobile, Alabama, that was approved and announced by the Biden-Harris Administration in July 2024: “This funding was awarded by the Biden-Harris Administration nearly a year ago. It’s unfortunate that this funding was delayed because of President Trump’s funding freeze, but I’m glad to see this money is finally flowing to Mobile so that the I-10 Bayway Bridge Project can get underway.”
