Shri Thanedar is proud to announce that Detroit's Water and Sewerage Department has started replacing the lead service lines in Detroit Neighborhoods with the goal of replacing 80,000 lead pipes. Congressman Shri Thanedar: “Thanks to President Biden’s Investing in America Initiative, and all the hard-working contractors Detroit is finally getting access to clean, safe drinking water .” Rep. Thanedar secured nearly $4 Million for the 13th Congressional District $959,752 for the City of Detroit $959,752 for the City of Wayne $2,000,000 for the City of Dearborn Heights Congressman Thanedar has also requested over 10 million in funds for the city of Wyandotte "Securing nearly $4 million in federal funds for the 13th Congressional District is a significant step towards addressing the urgent need for infrastructure improvements. With $959,752 allocated for the City of Detroit, $959,752 for the City of Wayne, and $2,000,000 for the City of Dearborn Heights, we are making real progress in ensuring our communities have the resources they need."
