Senator Hinojosa Announces Successful Delivery of Ten Commandments Posters to Every School in
Northern Counties of Senate District 27
Corpus Christi, Texas — State Senator Adam Hinojosa, District 27, announced the successful delivery
of Ten Commandments posters to every school in every school district across the northern counties of
Texas Senate District 27, including Bee County, San Patricio County, Nueces County, Kleberg County,
and Kenedy County. This marks the completion of the first phase of Senator Hinojosa’s districtwide
initiative to support local schools in meeting the requirements of Texas SB 10, passed during the 89th
Texas Legislature.
Thanks to generous donations from community partners, including Andres Palma, President of MEG
Engineers, enough posters were provided and delivered to ensure that every classroom in each district
could display a compliant copy of the Ten Commandments without incurring any costs to the taxpayers
or the school districts.
“This effort reflects the power of community working hand-in-hand with our schools,” said Senator
Hinojosa. “We could not have achieved this without the grassroots support of organizations like Citizens
Defending Freedom, Moms for Liberty, and individuals such as Samuel Fryer, who took time out of
their busy days to help make this possible.”
In addition to the schools within Senate District 27, Senator Hinojosa emphasized his commitment to
ensuring that every campus in the Corpus Christi Independent School District is also in full compliance
with SB 10. This milestone brings the district closer to fulfilling the law’s requirements across all of
South Texas.
“This is about ensuring that our classrooms reflect the values and history that helped shape our nation,”
Hinojosa added. “I am proud of the teamwork and dedication that made the first half of our initiative
such a success.”
The second phase of the project is already underway and will focus on completion in Willacy, Cameron,
and Hidalgo counties.
