U.S. Senator Katie Britt Directly Secures Over $28 Million for the Alabama Wiregrass Through Appropriations Leadership
WASHINGTON,D.C.– U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, recently directly secured over $28 million for the Wiregrass through the Senate passage of three Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 appropriations bills:theFY26 Labor, Health, and Human Services (LHHS) Appropriations Act, FY26 Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Appropriations Act,and theFY26 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Act.
The bills, part of a larger package, will be sent back to the U.S. House of Representatives for a final vote before heading to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law. Following the signing of this package into law, Senator Britt will have directly secured more than $66.5 million to the Wiregrass in FY26 appropriations funding.
