Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement following his “yes” vote on the budget bill. “This past week, I have been discussing with GOP leadership and key Committee Chairmen my concerns about potential cuts to Medicaid and have been assured that the final bill will not affect the quality of healthcare covered by Medicaid. They all said the final numbers will be more moderate. We’ll have a chance to vote on these two more times to get it right. Therefore, I am supporting the budget reconciliation because I want to secure the border, expand our energy production, improve our military, and extend the tax-cuts.” ###
