Amata Takes Part in Leader Jeffries’ CODEL to the U.K., Denmark, Israel, and Jordan
April 22, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is part of a bipartisan Congressional Delegation (CODEL) led by Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who released an initial statement outlining the purposes of the delegation in each country, and noting the importance of these alliances and partnerships to the U.S. In the United Kingdom, the delegation will meet with government and private sector leaders regarding shared economic and security issues; take part in discussions in Denmark; and meet with senior officials in Jordan and Israel. While in Israel, Members will participate in a Yom HaShoah observance, Holocaust Remembrance Day, which has been commemorated for approximately 75 years in Israel, as a yearly memorial to the lives of the Holocaust, and the bravery of the Jewish Resistance including the resistance of April 19, 1943, known in history as the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
