Carter secures $56 million in additional funding for Savannah Harbor

SAVANNAH – Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) announced today that he has secured $56 million in additional funding for operations and maintenance improvements at the Port of Savannah. “The Savannah Harbor is the fastest growing port in the nation, and we must ensure that it has the resources it needs to maintain this unprecedented growth. I am proud to have delivered this critical funding on behalf of the Georgia Ports Authority so that we can continue to show the world that Georgia is a global hub of transportation and shipping,” said Rep.
