ICYMI: Chairman Griffith Holds Hearing on AI Technologies in American Health Care

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA), Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, held a hearing entitled “Examining Opportunities to Advance American Health Care through the Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies . ” Following the hearing, Chairman Griffith issued the following statement: “In the health care space today, AI is being deployed by innovators to empower patients along their personal health care journey, support health care providers, and reduce unnecessary administrative burdens. BACKGROUND This July, Representative Griffith was named Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. In his first public actions after being named Chairman, Representative Griffith visited multiple rural health care providers in Southwest Virginia. Congressman Griffith held his first Health Subcommittee hearing in July. The legislative hearing focused on reauthorizing legislation related to public health and rural health care.
