VIDEO RELEASE: Senator Moody Announces Recipients of Nearly Half a Billion Dollars for Florida Disaster Recovery Funds

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, following a commitment secured bySenator Ashley Moody from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to release FEMA public assistance funding, Sen. Moody reiterated her support for Floridians impacted by disaster and announced the county-by-county recipients of nearly half a billion dollars in recovery funds.
Senator Ashley Moodysaid, “I am proud to announce that following a very productive meeting with the Department of Homeland Security, we’ve secured a commitment for nearly a half a billion dollars in FEMA public assistance funding. This is much needed for our communities following devastating storms over the past few years. I will never stop working for a Stronger, Safer Florida.”
The funds will be distributed through FEMA’s Public Assistance program to support more than 500 recovery projects across the state. This money is disbursed to the state and local communities for disaster recovery projects.
These projects include repairs to educational facilities, restoration of critical infrastructure, debris removal, and costs incurred during emergencies to protect life and property. Below is a list of how this funding will be distributed county by county:
