Resources / Press Share on Moskowitz Announces $20,000 National Endowment for the Arts Grant for Broward Center for the Performing Arts Mar 13, 2026 Press Parkland, Florida Today, Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-FL-23) announced that the Performing Arts Center Authority in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as part of its FY 2026 Grants for Arts Projects program. The funding will help support education and community engagement activities across Broward County. Planned programming, which this funding will support, may include a jazz workshop for public school students focused on music appreciation and performance skills, as well as free tickets and sound-check access for aspiring student jazz musicians. “South Florida’s arts community is one of the many things that makes our region so special, and this investment in the Broward Center is an investment in both culture and opportunity,” said Congressman Jared Moskowitz. “This funding will help give local students meaningful access to arts education and live performance. I’m proud to announce this support for the Broward Center and the next generation of young artists in our community.” The project is intended to benefit students and audiences in Fort Lauderdale by expanding access to the arts and helping participants build knowledge and skills through live music and educational programming. “The National Endowment for the Arts is proud to support opportunities across the country for Americans to experience and participate in the arts,” said Mary Anne Carter, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. “As we celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary this year, it is a moment to recognize the important role the arts continue to play in our lives, communities, and heritage.” Share on
