RELEASE: Gottheimer Statement on Elon Musk’s Ongoing Threat to U.S. National Security

<p><strong>WASHINGTON, D.C — </strong>Today, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), released the following statement on Elon Musk’s ongoing threat to U.S. national security: </p>

<p>“Elon Musk and his team have gained unrestricted access to eleven government agencies — compromising the private medical and financial data of millions of Americans. Musk’s team is holding documents with the identities of CIA officers.</p>

<p>To be clear: No one elected Elon Musk or entrusted him with keeping sensitive data from falling into the hands of our adversaries.</p>

<p>The havoc Elon Musk is wreaking on our country is not only unacceptable, but it’s also dangerous. It’s putting American’s privacy and personal information at risk. And now, he’s risking our national security.</p>

<p>As a member of the House Intelligence Committee and Financial Services Committee, I will fight with every tool possible to defend our economic and national security and the personal information of all Americans.”</p>
