Harshbarger to Host Sixth Annual Military Academy Day

September 8, 2026 Press Release Kingsport, TN — Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (R-TN) announced today that she will host her sixth annual Military Service Academy Day, connecting students and families across Tennessee's First Congressional District with representatives from our nation's elite service academies and giving students a firsthand look at the path to a military education. "Six years in, and it's still one of my greatest privileges to help students across Northeast Tennessee pursue their dream of serving our country," said Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger. "Attending one of our nation's elite service academies is a tremendous honor, and I am proud to assist students in East Tennessee who seek to serve our country in the future. Each year, this event opens the door for young folks to engage directly with representatives from our military academies, ask questions, and begin charting their course toward a future of service to America." Students will get the chance to speak with representatives about course selection, extracurricular activities, and more. The event will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education, located at 300 W. Market Street in Kingsport, TN 37660 . Registration begins at 9:00 AM.
